Beyond Fest 2026 returns with 81 features across world, U.S., and regional premieres, complemented by retrospectives and restorations. Highlights include V/H/S Mixtape, Look Back, Primetime, and Beware Boiúna, and a slate of notable genre guests will be on hand.
A Robert Eggers retrospective accompanies the program, including exclusive materials from Werwulf, with Eggers joining the already announced M. Night Shyamalan retrospective. Ken Russell’s restored The Devils is set to premiere at Beyond Fest prior to its national rollout in October.
Major guests and program highlights
The festival will host appearances by M. Night Shyamalan, Robert Eggers, Conor Oberst, Jamie Lee Curtis, and a roster of genre figures including Michael Mann, Dolph Lundgren, RZA, Danny DeVito, Al Pacino, Martin Brest, Fede Álvarez, Rodo Sayagues, Stephen Lang, and Jeremy Saulnier. The Eggers retrospective is paired with the Shyamalan retrospective, expanding the festival’s focus on contemporary and classic genre voices alongside curated screenings and talks.

Restorations and retrospective highlights
Restoration highlights include Begotten's 4K West Coast premiere and The Devils' 4K restoration from Ken Russell, shown with a 35mm screening prior to its nationwide release in October; additional restorations include The Host with its 4K restoration and Wild at Heart's 4K restoration for North American audiences. A 4K restoration spotlight on Rumble in the Bronx is also on the slate, along with other classics presented across Beyond Fest's multi-venue program.
The event is presented by MUBI, with programming and production in collaboration with the American Cinematheque, the festival takes place across venues such as the Egyptian Theatre, the MUBI Theatre at the Aero, Directors Village, and the MUBI Theatre at Los Feliz 3.
