These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of https://www.dreadpick.com, including Dreadpick’s discovery tools, accounts, recommendations, Fearprint, My Dreadpick, DreadSync, editorial content and related services.
By using Dreadpick, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Dreadpick
Dreadpick is a horror discovery platform designed to help users discover games and movies based on preferences, interests and group compatibility.
Dreadpick provides informational and recommendation services.
Recommendations, ratings, match scores and classifications represent Dreadpick’s own discovery methodology and are not guarantees that a particular user will enjoy a game or movie.
2. Accounts
Some Dreadpick features require a user account.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information;
- keeping your credentials secure;
- activities performed through your account;
- notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not impersonate another person or use an account in a fraudulent or abusive manner.
We reserve the right to restrict or suspend accounts used to abuse, attack or disrupt the service.
3. Fearprint
Fearprint is a preference-based feature intended to represent aspects of your horror taste.
Fearprint scores may be generated or adjusted based on information such as:
- answers you provide;
- ratings;
- saved games and movies;
- watched or played status;
- interactions with Dreadpick.
Fearprint is a discovery tool and should not be interpreted as a psychological, medical or scientific assessment of an individual.
4. Recommendation and Match Scores
Dreadpick may generate recommendation percentages, compatibility scores and other personalized results.
These scores are estimates produced by Dreadpick’s recommendation methodology.
They do not represent objective quality ratings and do not guarantee a particular experience.
Games, films, streaming availability, platform availability and product information may change over time.
5. DreadSync
DreadSync allows groups to combine preferences and select games or movies together.
A DreadSync room may be created by a registered user and joined by other participants.
DreadSync rooms are temporary and normally expire after approximately 12 hours.
Users are responsible for sharing invitation links only with people they intend to invite.
Dreadpick does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of a DreadSync room or preservation of room information after expiration.
6. User Ratings and Contributions
Users may be able to submit ratings, selections or other information.
By submitting content or ratings, you confirm that:
- the submission reflects your own input;
- you will not intentionally submit unlawful, abusive or malicious material;
- you will not attempt to manipulate the service, ratings or recommendation system.
Where users submit public content in the future, additional community guidelines may apply.
7. Horror Content
Dreadpick focuses on horror entertainment.
Games, movies, images, descriptions and editorial content may refer to or depict themes including:
- violence;
- blood or gore;
- disturbing imagery;
- psychological horror;
- death;
- frightening or mature subject matter.
Users should consider their own sensitivity and the applicable age rating of individual games and movies.
Dreadpick’s content-warning information is provided for discovery purposes and may not identify every potentially sensitive element.
8. Third-Party Content and Data
Dreadpick may display information originating from third-party databases, APIs, publishers, stores or other sources.
This may include titles, release information, artwork, platform information or other metadata.
Third-party trademarks and copyrighted materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Dreadpick is not endorsed by game publishers, movie studios or other third parties unless expressly stated.
9. TMDB
Dreadpick may use data and images provided through The Movie Database (TMDB).
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
10. External Links
Dreadpick may contain links to third-party websites, stores, streaming services or other external services.
We do not control those services and are not responsible for:
- their availability;
- their content;
- their privacy practices;
- pricing;
- purchases;
- product availability.
Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms.
11. Affiliate Links and Advertising
Dreadpick may display advertisements or use affiliate links.
If you follow an affiliate link and make a purchase, Dreadpick may receive a commission without increasing the price you pay, unless otherwise stated.
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not determine individual Fearprint results or Dreadpick match scores.
Where required, sponsored or affiliate content will be identified appropriately.
12. Intellectual Property
Except for third-party materials, the Dreadpick name, branding, website design, original text, recommendation systems, proprietary classifications, Fearprint system and other original Dreadpick materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use Dreadpick for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not, without authorization:
- reproduce substantial parts of the website;
- scrape or systematically extract the database;
- republish Dreadpick’s proprietary classifications;
- reverse engineer protected functionality;
- use automated tools in a manner that places unreasonable load on the service;
- present Dreadpick content as your own.
Normal search-engine indexing and ordinary linking to Dreadpick are permitted.
13. Service Availability
We aim to keep Dreadpick available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be:
- uninterrupted;

- compatible with every device or browser.
Features may be added, modified, suspended or removed as Dreadpick evolves.
