Hammer Films reveals Ithaqua, a survival horror film centered on a remote 1800s Canadian frontier outpost, with Luke Hemsworth, Kevin Durand, and Michael Pitt in the cast. The trailer shows an isolated fort besieged by a primal ancient menace.

The plot follows American mercenary Cole Franklin, who is sent to probe the quiet around a nearby Indigenous settlement. His findings imply that an old, primal force remains active in the wilderness. At Fort William, shrinking supplies and growing suspicion fracture the settlement as Cole guides a band of survivors through dangers that his military training alone can’t fully anticipate.
Directed by Casey Walker, who previously produced The Void and served as an executive producer on In a Violent Nature. The ensemble also features Craig Lauzon and Leenah Robinson.
Hammer Films backs the project under its horror-focused imprint Hammer Presents. The company behind Dracula, The Curse of Frankenstein, and The Mummy places Ithaqua in a landscape where the environment appears deadly even before any supernatural threat appears.
UK distribution is to be managed under the Hammer Presents label, with a planned early-2027 release in the United Kingdom. Prior to that, Ithaqua makes its US debut at Beyond Fest on September 27, with a screening scheduled at the Los Feliz 3 theater.
