A new Crystal Lake trailer for Peacock and A24’s Friday the 13th prequel offers a glimpse into how the killer’s origin unfolded. The eight-episode series premieres October 15 on Peacock, featuring Callum Vinson as a younger Jason Voorhees and Linda Cardellini portraying Pamela Voorhees, a grieving single mother whose son drowned at Crystal Lake nearly a year earlier. The trailer sets up a mystery as two strangers arrive at her doorstep to probe her past, leaving Crystal Lake wondering who Pamela Voorhees really is.

Crystal Lake is framed as an eight-episode prequel to the Friday the 13th saga, arriving on Peacock October 15. The supporting cast includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, and Cameron Scoggins in a prominent legacy role, along with Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone, Danielle Kotch, Phoenix Parnevik, Nancy Nagrant, and Joy Suprano. Episode direction credits go to Michael Lennox, Celine Held and Logan George, with Quyen Tran directing several installments.
