Crystal Lake, the Friday the 13th prequel series from Peacock and A24, premieres on Thursday, October 15. All eight episodes will drop at once. The story centers on Pamela Voorhees while Jason Voorhees lingers in the background. A trailer, a new poster, and additional imagery have been released to tease the eight-episode run.

Eight episodes and Pamela’s central role
The series is set about a year after Jason Voorhees’s drowning at Crystal Lake. Pamela Voorhees grieves for her son as two visitors arrive at her home, questioning her past and triggering events that pull the town’s focus toward her.

Linda Cardellini stars as Pamela Voorhees, with Callum Vinson portraying a young Jason. The cast also includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. Brad Caleb Kane created the eight-episode series; Michael Lennox, Celine Held, and Logan George directed episodes, with Quyen Tran among the eight directors. The trailer offers a television-toned aesthetic and includes a brief shot that appears to show an older or undead Jason.
